Visit stone money banks, Mens Houses, Meeting houses, Taro patches, and WWII Relics with our native Yapese Guide, Sebastian. As he guides you, throughout the island relaying ancient folklore and Yapese history and cultural details. Half day tour is $55 per person, full day is $95 per person.

Kaday Village's Culture Tour will be held on every Tuesdays and Saturdays at 4:30 p.m. From the entrance of the village, the villagers with traditional costume will escort you all the way. After walking through the stone paths and reaching to the meeting place, one traditional dance, some weaving and betel nut tree climbing by the children will be performed.

": A local woman, daughter of the Chief John who was the Bechyal Cultural Center Founder, in traditional grass skirt will weave flower lei (nuwnuw), a basket from coconut fronts and other handicrafts for you. Walk around Meeting House, Men's House, have some relaxing time on a beautiful beach, have traditional lunch at the local house.

This hiking trail will take you to what once was an elaborate and traditional Yapese village. You will see intact stone paths, meeting platforms, erected stone money banks, traditional men’s houses, and much more! The hike will be a minimum of three hours and will include walking through thick jungle forests and ruins. Unfortunately, today this is practically a deserted village, but the history will explain some of the mystery behind the disappearance of its people.

A 3-mile long hiking trail known to be a living classroom and a home to all Yap's endemic plant species, flora and fauna. Hike this trail and be transported back into another time. A skillful guide will take you through a mangrove forest on a raft made of bamboo logs while maneuvering the craft amongst and between traditional stone and bamboo fish traps. You will enjoy this fascinating view of Riken while you continue to be enlightened by this villages historical past. The tour will also include visiting significant sites referred to in a local folklore, which played an important part in the lives of the Riken people. The village of Riken is owner to the first established Marine Protected Area (MPA) within Yap State. In an effort to preserve its valuable marine resources, the MPA is a ‘No Take Zone’, thus providing a safe place for fish to grow and reproduce. Riken utilizes the MPA and traditional fishing techniques, such as bamboo and stone fish traps, to increase fish populations. All the guides of our tours are those who live in the village and are directly affected by the MPA. Micronesia's largest collection of Yapese watercolor paintings, carvings and weavings. Yap Art Studio & Gallery is in practice an artists cooperative for marketing watercolor paintings, carvings and hand-woven or loomed products by the Micronesian artisans. We represent all of the islands of Yap State.

JM's Restaurant is now offering lunch local food take-outs with free delivery.

On April 25, 2005 Moon RiZE Cafe opened. It got it’s name because the full moon rises from the ocean horizon right in front of the restaurant. The Japanese chef, Yoshi Shioda, has years of experience cooking in Japan and has worked with many different cooking styles. Before Yap he worked at a Macrobiotic/vegetarian restaurant where, as a meat-eater, he was surprised to learn that veggie food can be very interesting. He has created a menu of Asian and western style foods and 80% of his affordable menu uses fresh ingredients from our many gardens. He also buys fresh produce from the students at the elementary school up the road and is always thinking of new ways to use local ingredients. Our restaurant brings out the tastes and local flavor of Yap with a fresh, Asian style. Guests who come to our restaurant know that they can relax for hours or even hang out for the entire day, if they like.

Ganir Restaurant serves meals three times a day for 6 days from Monday thru Saturday, both local and international cuisines as well as catering services to both private and government functions.
