Yap's Second Annual Homecoming Festival was held on Saturday June 16th under sunny skies. This year the festival highlighted the history and contributions of the Chamorro population in Yap. Visitors from Guam and Saipan who traveled to Yap to join in the festivities, were given a welcome reception on Wednesday June 13th.

The Festival began on Saturday with a gathering at the Yap Living History Museum site for a Procession to ST. Mary's Church for a commemorative Mass. Later, a traditional Yapese dance was the start to the other activities of the day which included an archival photo display, the traditional blessing of a newly carved Canoe, sports events, and additional dances.
