June 26, 2010 is Yap's first annual Mogethin Marathon

Yap's Mogethin Marathon is a unique opportunity to experience the rich tradition and unspoiled beauty of the Island of Stone Money.
The 26.2 mile course takes you on a scenic tour of ocean-side villages, through historical WWII sites, and many other cultural experiences. You will have the opportunity to see villages which are otherwise restricted to the public.

The Half Marathon follows the same course as the first half of the full marathon. You will experience the same scenic tour of ocean-side villages and unspoiled beauty that Yap has to offer.

Children are encouraged to enjoy our Fun Run. The Mogethin Marathon will offer a full day of events that will be fun for the entire family.

Please note that the full marathon will have a half-point 17-minute mile cut off. If you have not completed the first half of the marathon by 8:15 AM, you will not be allowed to continue the rest of the course.
