Jessica & Alexandre Lalumiere, Singapore recently hiked Yap's Tamilyog trail, and shared these photos with us. This historic trail crosses the center of Yap from East to West (about 3 miles in length)and has historical significance as a look out post for villages on the West side of Yap. The Tamilyog trail was used as the main pedestrian route to Colonia until the 1970's when roads were constructed. The trail is now maintained as a hiking trail, and is a good opportunity for visitors to see different landscapes on Yap from tropical rain forests to savannah grass lands.
